Multimode MM MT-MT 40G/100G Transceiver from China Suppliers | Custom Fiber Solutions from Factory
Product Introduction
MT-MT is a crucial component in optical modules, mainly used for parallel optical signal transmission. As a specialized optical fiber jumper featuring MT (Mechanical Transfer) connectors at both ends, it is primarily employed in optical modules utilizing parallel optical technology, such as QSFP modules. By connecting internal optical lenses with external ports, it successfully meets the rigorous signal transmission requirements of optical modules. Its main function is to enable high-density, low-loss parallel optical signal transmission, ensuring the stable operation of optical communication systems.
Design and Structure
High-precision connector with a rectangular cross-section containing multiple internal V-grooves to fix optical fibers, ensuring precise alignment. Supports male-female or male-male combinations based on application needs.
Supports multimode fibers (OM2, OM3, OM4, OM5) and single-mode fibers (OS1, OS2) to accommodate different transmission distances and bandwidth requirements.
Precisely controlled length, typically within 20-50 mm, featuring a strict length tolerance of ±0.15 mm to fit the compact space limitations inside optical modules.
Performance Characteristics
- Multimode Insertion Loss: Typical 0.2 dB, Max 0.60 dB
- Single-mode Insertion Loss: ≤0.5 dB
- Multimode Return Loss: >20 dB (flat polish)
- Single-mode Return Loss: ≥55 dB
- Mechanical Stability: Withstands up to 200 insertions and extractions without significant degradation.
- Operating Temperature: Stable performance within -40°C to +85°C.
Applications
MT-MT jumpers are widely used in various types of parallel transmission optical transceiver modules. They support high-speed data transmission rates including 40G (4x10G), 100G (4x25G), 4x32G, 200G (8x25G), and 800G (8x100G) in data centers and optical networks.
