China Factory Suppliers: Multimode MM MT-MT 40G/100G Transceiver for Data Center Connectivity
Product Introduction
MT-MT is a crucial component in optical modules, mainly used for parallel optical signal transmission.
As a specialized optical fiber jumper featuring MT (Mechanical Transfer) connectors at both ends, it is primarily employed in optical modules utilizing parallel optical technology, such as QSFP modules. By connecting internal optical lenses with external ports, it successfully meets the signal transmission requirements of optical modules. Its main function is to enable high-density, low-loss parallel optical signal transmission, ensuring the stable operation of optical communication systems.
Design & Structure
Connector Type
High-precision MT connector with a rectangular cross-section. Features internal V-grooves to fix optical fibers, ensuring precise alignment. Available in male-female or male-male combinations.
Fiber Type
Supports multiple fiber types, including multimode fibers (OM2, OM3, OM4, OM5) and single-mode fibers (OS1, OS2) to meet diverse transmission needs.
Length & Tolerance
Precisely controlled length, usually ranging within 20-50 mm, with a tight tolerance of ±0.15 mm to easily fit the strict space limitations inside optical modules.
Performance Characteristics
Insertion Loss (IL)
Relatively low insertion loss. Multimode typical IL is 0.2 dB (max 0.60 dB), while single-mode IL is typically ≤0.5 dB.
Return Loss (RL)
High return loss properties. Multimode MT-MT is generally >20 dB (flat polish), and single-mode can reach ≥55 dB.
Mechanical Stability
Capable of withstanding up to 200 insertions and extractions without degradation. Operates stably from -40°C to +85°C.
Applications & Transceiver Modules
MT-MT jumpers are widely used in various types of parallel transmission optical transceiver modules, supporting high-speed optical communication networks and data centers.
